OSHA’s New Training Requirement for the Revised Hazard Communication Standard Has Past

Well, the December 1, 2013 deadline for meeting the training requirement for the revised Hazcom standard has come and gone. But judging by the activity we’re seeing at, it seems that there are quite a few procrastinators out there! If you’re a little behind on completing this training we certainly understand. But just because the deadline has past doesn’t mean you can’t still get into compliance. OSHA’a intent was to teach impacted employees about the new changes to the standard associated with the adoption of certain GHS requirements. So its better to be late (and have proof on training in your files) than to be out of compliance.

Clym’s online Hazcom GHS training module makes getting up to speed with this federal safety requirement easy and affordable. Visit and sign up to take the class (or contact us if you have a group to train). The course consists of three modules, lasting about 45 minutes in all, with a quiz for each module. Once you’ve successfully completed the quizzes you can print or download a certificate of training completion.

Our course is convenient, created by Certified Safety Professionals and affordable – only $10 per seat. Get in compliance today!

If you’ve already completed your initial training – congratulations- and check back with us in January – we’ll have a refresher module which will summarize the Hazcom standard as well as the new GHS requirements. You can use this module for annual training! Also, if you need assistance in updating the required written Hazard Communication Plan for your facility, contact Clym.
