Agilyx, the company using innovative technology to help solve the problem of plastic waste, sought to gather like-minded businesses to improve post-use plastic sourcing. The result is Cyclyx: a new kind of organization utilizing partnerships to increase global recycling rates. Cyclyx is a consortium business model that brings much-needed innovation to plastic feedstock management, with the goal of increasing recycling of these materials from the present rate of ten percent to ninety percent (10 to 90). Clym Environmental Services is proud to be a part of this effort to bring about change and redirect more plastic into recycling.

Charles Watts, President of Clym Environmental Services, commented, “As the industry leader in pioneering sustainable regulated medical waste (RMW) management, Clym is committed to assuring our clients reach their sustainability initiatives. While our unique, environmentally friendly treatment process significantly reduces the carbon footprint of RMW generators, the segregation and reclamation of the substantial volume of valuable plastics in this waste stream will also prove impactful in supporting a circular plastics economy. By partnering with the Cyclyx consortium, we are excited to join the 10 to 90 initiative and do our part to increase global plastics recycling.”

Clym is also a member of the Maryland Green Registry: a qualifying standard that promotes and recognizes sustainable practices at organizations of all types and sizes. As a condition of qualification, members agree to share at least five environmental practices and one measurable result while continually striving to improve their environmental performance. Clym is proud to be a member of this exclusive group that has saved a combined total of more than $107 million annually through the suggestions they have shared in their online member profiles.
